I am proud to inform you of a project that I am working on currently. Gary Bell, songwriter/guitarist has invited me to be a part of an album to be released later in the year. We have been working hard in Church Road Studios in hove and have been lucky enough to enlist the talents of Phil Marten, Rob Allum and Eddie Myer, who make up the regular backing band for Turin Brakes. Making strong progress and looking to get gigging with the material. You shall be hearing more soon as the information becomes available. Heres a date for your diary. I will be putting on a concert called 'WHITESTOCK'....only joking! "Joel White and friends" is going to be a large concert on the 15th August at the Winter Gardens, Eastbourne, in aid of the making and promoting an album. It will involve many other musicians and acts with top support. Keep your eyes and ears peeled for more news on this as it promises to be an awesome show.

I can provide any set up between solo acoustic music for light entertainment (during a meal for example), duos , rock bands, all the way up to 11 piece soul group ready to play all the best in soul music from the last forty years. If you would require a combination e.g. acoustic music for dinner then soul band for evening entertainment just ask.

The packages i can provide are as follows

SOLO - laid back acoustic or jazzy electric set with or without vocal accompaniment. An eclectic mix of classic tunes to suit a relaxed environment. covers and original songs available.

DUO - the next step up is to add keys, played by the fantastic Steven Hopkins or Carl Greenwood, to give extra depth and class to the previous package.

TRIO 1 - an extra solo instrument, e.g. saxophone or trumpet can be added to give an extra lift

TRIO 2 - Drums, Bass and guitar a classic rock set up. will play classic pop, rock, funk, soul, etc. You hum it we'll play it.

BAND - from low down blues and jazz to full tilt rock and roll available with a standard 4 piece outfit (drums, bass, keys, guitar)

ROCK KARAOKE BAND - if you've ever dreamed of singing great rock songs to your family/friends/colleagues backed by the most accoumplished of rock musicians this is the choice for you. song lists and lyrics provided just be ready to ROCK!

BIG TIME SOUL BAND - a mix of the finest soul, funk and disco tunes from the 60s onwards with drums, bass, keys, guitar, 2 lovely ladies (the fabulous Natalie and Michelle) singing alongside joel and up to a 4 piece brass section that bring a level of coolness and high energy that has to be heard to be believed. great to get up and dance the night away.
