About me
I have been playing music from the age of 7. It all started when I received the gift of a guitar from my nan. My father also played a little guitar and enjoyed playing Beatles songs and as a result of being exposed to a great deal of music, I started to find out how to play basic music from what I heard. I continued to learn by ear until I found that guitar lessons, music GCSE at Ringmer community college, and college education at Sussex downs college (formerly ECAT) helped me to decide that a career in music was for me.
For the year 2003/04 I studied at the Brighton Institute of Modern Music and discovered how music theory was one of the greatest tools available to a musician.
The following year at age 19 I was lucky enough to become a lecturer in music performance at my old college. This was a real challenge and proved to be a responsibility I could not continue.
For the next two years I found various other part time jobs to help fund my musical alter ego. Influences include: B.B. King, Dire Straits, The Beatles, The Ozric Tentacles, Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Free and many more.
